After the final whistle was blown and everything calmed down, our players expressed their happiness and pride with the new achievement accomplished in securing the fourth FCWC bronze medal in our history.
Emma Ashour, our midfielder, was feeling on cloud nine after getting his first many things in the tournament, Emam scored his first goal, won the man of the match award after the game, and now has an FCWC bronze medal.
“I thank God first and foremost, we did everything we could, all the players pushed and fought hard till the last minute, I also want to thank the fans, who gave me the biggest push to claim this win”.
Yasser Ibrahim also spoke about how much this medal means to him and the team
“We weren’t so lucky against Fluminense in the semi-finals, many chances were wasted, that is why the whole team vowed to give their all and secure the bronze medal and to get on the podium again”
Yasser also thanked the fans who attended the games and showed support to the team stating that it meant so much to the team and staff.
Mohamed Hany, who also put on an amazing performance also expressed his happiness with the win against Urawa Reds, saying that all the players gave their all to secure the bronze medal.
“This team is one of the best teams ever, we proved that we can play against anyone, FCWC is always a special occasion to show our best.”
